This week, we revisit an unforgettable episode of State of Belief, the weekly radio program and podcast from Interfaith Alliance: an extended interview host Rev. Welton Gaddy conducted in June of 2019 with former prominent religious right leader Rev. Rob Schenck.
Rob had recently published a memoir, titled Costly Grace: An Evangelical Minister’s Rediscovery of Faith, Hope and Love, and discussed in detail his change of heart on issues of abortion, LGBTQI+ issues, and gun control. Ironically, the interview took place at the studios of the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC.
Today, Rob Schenck continues to lead the essential Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute.
