As we get ready for 2020 to finally draw to a close, we take a look back at a year unlike any other. This week on State of Belief, Interfaith Alliance’s weekly radio show and podcast, we’ll survey the most important stories at the interaction of religion and politics. We’ll also look to the future with a new report on faith and Generation Z.
Religion News Service’s award-winning national reporter Jack Jenkins joins Rev. Welton Gaddy, host of State of Belief, to take a look back at the news stories from 2020 that framed our understanding of religion in America.
The Springtide Research Institute has just released the largest survey of Generation Z focusing on issues of faith. Welton will be joined by the Institute’s executive director, Dr. Josh Packard, for a look at this generation, born between 1997 and 2012, and their relationship with religion during a time of unprecedented upheaval in our culture and society.
Greg Lebel, Professor Emeritus of Political Management at George Washington University – and the veteran of several presidential campaigns – joins Welton to look at the current state of politics in our nation’s capital, and to look ahead to the incoming Biden/Harris administration.
