A growing number of women have had it with Donald Trump – and with conservative leaders who excuse his remarks as quote-unquote “locker room talk.” This week on State of Belief, Interfaith Alliance’s radio show and podcast, we’ll explore how some evangelical women are reacting to Trump.
The newly-surfaced recording of a major party presidential candidate lewdly describing past sexual assaults was shocking enough. But even more shocking was the willingness of political and Religious Right leaders to dismiss the remarks as irrelevant and old news. Host Rev. Welton Gaddy will be joined by Jennifer Crumpton, author of the book Femmevangelical: The Modern Girl’s Guide to the Good News, for a discussion of why many evangelicals are standing by Trump while others are running for the exits – and how this is harming both politics and religion.
