This weekend on State of Belief, host Welton Gaddy revisits his conversation with one of the most important and prolific writers on religion in the modern world.  Karen Armstrong is the author of more than 20 books and she returns to State of Belief for a lively conversation about her latest best-seller, The Case For God.

Karen Armstrong’s other books include A History of God: The 4,000-Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam; The Bible: A Biography; Islam: A Short History; Buddha; and The Spiral Staircase: My Climb Out of Darkness.  In February 2008, Karen Armstrong began work on the Charter for Compassion, an effort to illustrate that compassion lay at the heart of all the world’s faiths.
