This weekend on State of Belief, what does the Bible really say about homosexuality?   A prominent evangelical theologian talks about the Bible, gay rights and what fundamentalists get wrong when they quote scripture.  Plus, a look at what all police officers need to know about the Sikh tradition.  And, why did Cuba deny visas to a religious freedom watchdog group? We find out….

Host Welton Gaddy speaks with Felice Gaer from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom about how their recent fact-finding mission to Cuba was canceled after the country refused to issue visas to the delegation.

Plus, Rajbir Singh Datta joins Welton to discuss efforts to train law enforcement to better understand the Sikh population in America.  Rajbir Singh Datta is the National Director of SALDEF – Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund.

And, theologian Jack Rogers shares insight from his recently re-issued book, Jesus, the Bible and Homosexuality: Explode the Myths, Heal the Church. Jack Rogers is Professor of Theology Emeritus at San Francisco Theological Seminary.

Don’t  miss Welton’s own thoughts on James Dobson’s swan song as head of Focus on the Family and a recent Newsweek cover story about the end of Christian America.
