The federal budget is 3,000 pages long and spends 3 trillion dollars. But can we view it as an expression of our national values? We’ll discuss the budget as a moral document with two important members of Congress.

Rep. Jim McGovern will share his experience living on a food stamp budget for one week. And Rep. Lois Capps will tell us how her background as a registered nurse affects her view on health care spending.

State of Belief explores the intersection of religion with politics, culture, media, and activism.
