State of Belief Tackles Wrestler Mick Foley
Washington, D.C. – On this Sunday’s “State of Belief,” The Interfaith Alliance Foundation’s show on Air America Radio, Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy welcomes Mick Foley, the only three-time world wrestling champion who has the distinction of being a member of the Interfaith Alliance. Foley has written a new memoir that discusses in great detail his charitable work, family life, and the power of faith. And despite what a lot of athletes claim about God, Foley says: “No matter how big a game, God does not really have an investment in one game or the other, or one team or the other.”
Also on the show: Dr. Eboo Patel, founder and executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core; Matthew Avery Sutton, author of Aimee Semple McPherson and the Resurrection of Christian America; Rev. Allison Boden, dean of the Interreligious Center at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel of the University of Chicago.
