June, traditionally celebrated as Gay Pride Month, is here, and with it comes a slew of federal decisions that will affect the American LGBT community. In addition to the Supreme Court’s plans to rule on the notorious Defense of Marriage Act, the U.S. Senate is turning its attention to the comprehensive immigration reform bill, which as of now does not include language that would grant all Americans the right to sponsor a same-gender spouse for immigration. Joining Welton on the show this week is Hadar Susskind, the director of Bend the Arc Jewish Action, to talk about the chances of – and the need for – an inclusive policy for same-gender families. CLICK HERE FOR EXTENDED INTERVIEW VIDEO AND TRANSCRIPT
