It’s finally 2016- and that means the election is slightly closer than it was before. But seriously, the first votes in the primary are just around the corner, and the interminable presidential campaign is taking a stark turn. Politicians will say just about anything to stand out in the primaries- and lately, we have heard a lot of hateful rhetoric. Rabbi Jack Moline, executive director of our parent organization, Interfaith Alliance, will talk about using the media to advance an agenda of tolerance and inclusion, religion in the State of the Union Address, and how uncivil public rhetoric can stand in the way of progress.
