The Big Tent
It’s all happening at the Big Tent, the alternative convention on Wynkoop and 18th, in Denver. All kinds of new media folk are blogging, writing, recording and broadcasting under the two story tent. Jonathan Craig, Deputy Director for Online Communications, Donna Red Wing, Senior Advisor and Julian Dylan Russell of Metropol Photos/Boston, are combining their talents to bring you the most up to the minute news at the Democratic National Convention. There is a creative buzz here that is unprecedented in the media gatherings around the convention. Workshops, forums, speakers, events, desk space, plug-ins, wi-fi, sandwiches, cold drinks, computer check room with recharging stations and easy credentialing combine to make this the place to be.

The big tent was constructed to be green: recycling, re-using and reinventing have made this a showcase of alternative energy and imagination. Many thanks to Bobby Cark and the folks at Progress Now who combined their extraordinary understanding of new media and the people involved to create a space and a place where even the most humble bloggers have what they need to tell their stories.
