Here’s what’s coming up this weekend on State of Belief Radio –
A Jewish activist in Germany says, it’s essential to be visible – even as many in his community are afraid to be, and some leaders even say Jews should leave Europe! You’ll meet Terry Swartzberg, an American-born resident of Munich who is a leader in Germany’s Stolpersteine Project, memorializing individual Jewish lives lost to the Holocaust.
Also, is politics trumping policy in matters of vital significance to America? We’ll ask Greg Lebel, Assistant Professor of Political Management at George Washington University. Greg is the veteran of several presidential campaigns and offers an insider’s perspective of the tension between politics and policy inside the Beltway.
And Rabbi Jack Moline, Executive Director of Interfaith Alliance, will be with us to discuss the “Utah Compromise” on gay rights, as well as the latest crop of “religious freedom restoration” laws from across the country.
Plus Welton will have some thoughts to share about the irony of blocking LGBT folks from taking part in St. Patrick’s Day parades.
