On the next State of Belief Radio –

New Jersey has just become the latest state to permit marriage equality, and we’ll talk about the importance of that – and the role of faith leaders and other people of faith in overcoming opposition elsewhere – with Meredith Greenberg, who is cantor at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, New Jersey and just married her longtime partner, Leora Perlman.

The Public Religion Research Institute has just released the 2013 edition of its annual American Values Survey. This year’s focus on Libertarians offers up some startling revelations on a significant percentage of our population with PRRI Founding CEO Dr. Robert P. Jones.

And the Rev. Richard Cizik, President of the New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good, who’s calling on the Board of the National Association of Evangelicals to take a leadership position on the issue of climate change, and urging that environmental concerns be a priority for the “New Evangelical” movement. His online petition is up at the Groundswell Movement website.

Plus an urgent request from Welton Gaddy for you to take action as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act nears consideration in the US Senate.

That’s all coming up this weekend on State of Belief! Here’s how to listen.
