As the rhetoric heated up on both sides of the marriage equality issue in Washington, DC with the Supreme Court hearing oral arguments in two separate cases that could end California’s Proposition 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act, Welton made a brief appearance on WUSA-TV in the District to argue in favor of equality. He based his position on that most modern of documents – the United States Constitution.
