Haroon Moghul, Executive Director of The Maydan Institute, which works to build understanding between Muslims and the West, on the significance of Oklahoma recently passing a law forbidding the use of international and Shariah law in state courts.  Moghul is a writer and the former Director of Public Relations at the Islamic Center at New York University.

George Lakoff, Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley, on the role of messaging and communications in politics.  His books include Don’t Think of an Elephant!: How Democrats and Progressives Can Win: Know Your Values and Frame the Debate; Moral Politics: How Liberals and Conservatives Think; and The Political Mind: A Cognitive Scientist’s Guide to Your Brain and its Politics.

Dr. Nicholas Greco, Assistant Professor of Communications and Media at Providence College, on the topics covered at the Canadian Institute for the Study of Pop Culture and Religion’s recent annual symposium.  He is a fellow at the Institute.
