State of Belief Remembers the Holocaust

Washington, D.C. – On this Sunday’s “State of Belief,” The Interfaith Alliance Foundation’s show on Air America Radio, Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy explores the Holocaust Day of Remembrance, also known as Yom HaShoah, which is a national memorial day in Israel. Rev. Gaddy speaks with Dr. David Marwell, the director of the Museum of Jewish Heritage – a Living Memorial to the Holocaust, in New York City. The museum is unveiling a new exhibit titled Daring to Resist, Jewish Defiance in the Holocaust. Rev. Gaddy also receives an update on the genocide in Darfur from John Pendergast, leader of the Save Darfur Coalition. Also, Salam al-Marayati, the Executive Director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, joins Rev. Gaddy to discuss his recent trip to the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
