The major human rights organizations are clustered in New York and Washington, D.C., while the national media is still largely based in New York and Los Angeles. But what about the South? Caitlin Breedlove, Co-Director of Southerners on New Ground, or SONG, joins Welton to talk to us about some social justice initiatives that may not be on the national radar but are happening and are important. Her organization seeks to achieve justice in rural areas as it carries out it mission of LGBTQ liberation across all lines of race, class, abilities, age, culture, gender and sexuality in the South.
