What an exciting show this weekend!
Here is the Lawrence O’Donnell segment Welton will be talking about on this week’s State of Belief Radio:

Rev. Ron LaRocque, pastor of Metropolitan Community Church in Winston-Salem, NC, talks about the fast he began in opposition to the state legislature fast-tracking putting an anti-marriage-equality constitutional amendment to a vote in the May 2012 primaries.

Professor Paul Froese of Baylor University, explains some of the findings of the Baylor Religious Survey. Prof. Froese is the co-author of the survey, which suggests that belief in an actively-involved God reduces empathy for societal support of the poor and needy.

And Jay Michaelson, Founding Director, GLBT Jewish Culture & Spirituality talks about his Religion Dispatches article exploring the limitations of using religion to justify the death penalty.
