Welton is featured in this week’s discussion over at the Washington Post blog On Faith. The site’s editors ask panelists to weigh in on whether religious charities that recieve federal funding should be able to discriminate in hiring. While supporting a religious organziaton’s right to hire people of that faith, Welton points out, “everything changes when a religious charity accepts government money to carry out its ministries and do its work. Under no circumstances should government dollars enable hiring discrimination.”
