Last weekend’s show featured an interview with UC Berkley Linguistics Professor and prolific writer George Lakoff.  In his books, including “Don’t Think of an Elephant!” and “The Political Mind,” Prof. Lakoff has explored the notion of childhood roles being re-activated by messages received in adulthood, and the “framing” of political positions using morality and archetypical values.

It’s a real treat to get to review the 2010 elections with Prof. Lakoff.  We crammed as much of the interview into the show as possible, but there’s still more material (Sarah Palin?  Nancy Pelosi?  Pope Benedict XVI?) that we were forced to cut from State of Belief.  It’s included in this full-length interview.
