Here’s what’s coming up this weekend on State of Belief Radio:

The Supreme Court weighs in on nuns and birth control! No, it’s not what it sounds like. But the implications may be widespread, and we’ll hear about them from Patricia Miller, who’s written about the Little Sisters case and the history of the Bishops on this issue for Religion Dispatches Magazine.

Also, the Winter Games start Friday in Sochi. What should human rights activists be doing in light of Russia’s anti-gay climate? We’ll ask the Rev. Pat Bumgardner of the Global Justice Institute, and get an update on the Institute’s work around the globe.

And we’ll continue our series titled “A Prophetic Vision for a New Year: Where We’re Going, How We’ll Get There,” with Sikh filmmaker and interfaith activist Valarie Kaur. Valarie is the founder of the groundswell movement initiative at Auburn Theological Seminary in New York City.

Welton will also have some thoughts to share about President Obama’s sixth State of the Union Address.

Follow us on Facebook for updates and bulletins – and be sure to tune in! Here’s how to listen.
